In Mostar we have been working systematically through the education system, offering retraining courses for teachers and creative intensive art workshops for children. We have now covered every primary and special school in Mostar, with seminars organised by War Child, including the purchase and supply of all instruments and other materials for all the young people. I find War Child to be rigorously honest, passionately committed and deeply self-critical. I am proud to be associated with the organisation as one of its music consultants. Prof Nigel Osbord is Reid Professor of the University of Edinburgh and teaching on music in therapy and the relation between music, emotions and the brain.
