Independent coach and consultant specialising in leadership development related to self-awareness, self-confidence and emotional intelligence (UK).
|
Heather Campbell FCIPD, MBA
Heather consults with global organisations on organisational change and leadership development. Her particular passion is helping senior executives to lead with more emotional intelligence through increased self-awareness and appropriate self-confidence. She finds that either an excess or a deficit of the latter results in less than effective leadership at all levels in business!
As well as running her consulting practice, she is an Associate Consultant at the Centre for Customised Executive Development, Cranfield University School of Management and is studying for an MA in Management, Learning and Leadership at Lancaster University Management School. Heather is also a trained personal counsellor and has held senior management roles in the Financial Services and Utilities sectors.
Session Information: Self-confidence: A Trick of the Light?
Key Concepts:The relationship between self-confidence, emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness, and how to enhance all three |
Although an essential trait for emotionally intelligent leadership, self-confidence can prove elusive to gain and maintain. Find out more at this interactive and fun session.
This session explores 4 different perspectives on what self-confidence is and how it can enhance or detract from leadership effectiveness through its impact on emotional intelligence. It examines why applying two of the four perspectives results in long-term and sustainable positive impact on emotional intelligence, as well as why two of the four have a negative impact. The session also allows delegates to explore ways in which their working environment typically impacts on their self-confidence as leaders and to plan how to achieve greater self-confidence, hence enhancing their emotional intelligence and their contribution as leaders.
Delegates will:
- Gain increased awareness of the relationship between self-confidence, emotional intelligence and effective leadership
- Learn about four different perspectives on what self-confidence is and the impact of each
- Be able to plan to actively develop their own self-confidence in the work environment
