Brian Friedlander & Steven TobiasDr. Steven Tobias is the director of the Center for Child and Family Development in Morristown, New Jersey, a multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment facility. Dr. Tobias is also president of Psychological Enterprises, Inc., a company developing innovative technologies and materials to improve children's social and affective competence. The materials developed by Psychological Enterprises are used internationally. This company also conducts training workshops for professionals and parents on the issues of social problem solving, discipline, and affective development. Dr. Tobias has spoken at numerous national and international conferences. In addition, Dr. Tobias serves as a consultant to schools throughout New Jersey. Dr. Tobias's areas of expertise include the social and emotional development of children, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, diagnosis of learning disabilities, and parenting. |

| He has coauthored several books. His most recent, Emotionally Intelligent Parenting: Raising a Responsible, Self-Disciplined and Socially Skilled Child, coauthroed by Maurice Elias and Brian Friedlander, was published in January 1999. Dr. Tobias's problem solving curriculum, Fig Tespn Goes to Middle School, is currently in use throughout the United States and Canada. He and Drs. Elias and Friedlander are currently working on books on parenting adolescents and using computers in clinical practice. Dr. Tobias completed his doctorate in psychology at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers University in New Jersey. He also holds certification in school psychology from Montclair State University and obtained a B.A. in history from Hobart College in Geneva, New York. Dr. Tobias is married and has two daughters. Dr. Brian S. Friedlander is a licensed psychologist who completed his graduate training in psychology with specialization in school psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Friedlander holds New Jersey as well as New York Certification as a School Psychologist. Dr. Friedlander is employed full time as a school psychologist in the Chester Township Public Schools, Chester, NJ. Dr. Friedlander maintains a private practice in Long Valley, N.J. Dr. Friedlander is also a consultant at the Child Development Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He has been actively involved in the schools working with students to help them develop social problem solving skills in the classroom. Dr. Friedlander has written numerous articles on the application of technology to helping students develop social problem solving skills and is co-author of the software application Personal Problem Solving Guide. Dr. Friedlander is a frequent presenter at many state, local, and national psychology conferences. He does numerous presentations to PTA sponsored events at local public schools in and around the surrounding area. Dr. Friedlander is a software developer and has developed several database applications for school psychologists and administrators. He is the developer of Discipline Tracker, a complete administrative software package to track disciplinary problems in the school setting. He is also a member of the New Jersey Association for Educational Technology and provides workshops and training in the application of technology in school settings. Dr. Friedlander is the Co-Director of Computer Campus, Livingston, NJ which is dedicated to promoting computer access for children with learning differences. Computer Campus provides assessments and individual training in the area of assistive technology. Likewise, he is an adjunct faculty member at the College of St. Elizabeth, Morristown, NJ where he teachers graduate level courses in educational technology.
