Focus Session: Social and Emotional Education: Educational and training opportunities for regular educators, special educators and educational administrators Sat, May 6, PM A review of many social emotional learning programs reveals that there are five core principles that characterize effective social and emotional educational programs. There is a range of ways that educators can implement these principles into practice. This presentation will detail the range of current opportunities for regular and special (LD) educators as well as educational administrators to learn more about effective social emotional educational programs for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. The importance of ongoing learning and teaching with students, parents and ourselves will be underscored.
Keynote Panel: Learning and Teaching Emotional Intelligence Sat, May 6, AM Join an informal conversation with Peter Salovey, Jonathan Cohen, Anabel Jensen, Clarence Penn, Alice Ray, and Sara Armstrong.
